Today is the anniversary of 9/11 and so I talked a little to Faith about it. I remember all to well being called to our station and just waiting to be deployed, wanting to go to NY to help..We did eventually a few days later but it was only to bandage steel workers cutting through the rubble and to hand out supplies..Faith and I were lucky to be in NY on the 5th anniversary. I can't describe the feeling of the city that weekend..American flags were hung everywhere, Saks 5th Avenue drapped their famous window displays in black in memory of all who perished that day. The hair on the back of my neck stood up all weekend!
So today I remember all of my fellow EMS, Fire and Police who died protecting and serving their beloved city and all who died that fateful day.. I pray that God comforts all who mourn the loss of their loved ones..
"Those who cannot remember the past are doomed to repeat it!" ~ unknown
This is one of my favorite quotes..My American History teacher, Mrs. Bell had this hanging on the wall..

Week 3 of School for Faith
I am a slacker!! she started school AUGUST 23, 2010 and I'm jsut getting around to this post!! LOL
She is doing well, her IEP is slowly getting into place. They will be extending her OT for her handwriting skills which I am glad, she needs practice and some helpful hints to get her to do it right..
Here is the picture at breakfast time..I got up at 7am to cook her bacon and pancakes!
She was ever so excited to have me be taking pictures before she ate! LOL Lindsey even got up after being out all night with her Dad and walked down to the bus stop to wait for the bus..
Here she is right before the bus pulled up..
I could see she was excited, cause I actually got a smile :)
Mrs. Wilson her teacher is a sweetheart and a few of the neighborhood kids are in her class as well. She also is going to her daddy's old school which is cool for her as well!

Beautiful Labor Day Weekend!!
The weekend started dreary, hot, humid and rainy from hurricane Earl but by yesterday it was beautiful! The girls were dissappointed that it was not pool weather but we had fun just the same hanging out with my Mom and Dad. Since I moved away I can truly say that I value them so much more. We see them as much as we can and really just live the moments. I feel that we live those moments a lot more now then when I lived in NJ..
It was a short visit but a great one just the same. We hung out at the mall on friday and Mom Mom once again spoiled them and bought Emilee a Cinderella rag doll and a Buzz lightyear doll and Faith got a Melody Hello Kitty Bunny from the Build a Bear store..Last night we took a trip to the Ocean City Boardwalk and the kids enjoyed the rides with their cousins Eddie, Maggie and Trevor. Traffic on the way home was not bad..I expected at least some traveler's from the weekend but they must have stayed to take advantage of the beautiful weather! I would have done the same but I did not want to get stuck in all the traffic tomorrow! So we are taking it easy tomorrow, unpacking and enjoying being together as a family..
